Abstract
India was a legend in English long before the English people established themselves as the rulers of this land. At first, the Indians hesitated towards the English but later on accepted it. The writers like Kamala Markandaya, Raja Rao and Anita Desai, E. M. Forster made valuable contribution in Indian Writing in English. Raja Rao is a pathfinder of Indian writing in English.
