Abstract
Cultural system and values in Tajikistan was evolved with experience of communities as common way of life in the region from ages. It was continuous process of continuity and adaptation with need and aspiration of the people. Tajiks peoples are decedents of one of the oldest civilization in the region. It was great moment when people of this region started uniting under Ismail Somon as Tajiks identity. It was attempt to recognize their past culture, values and tradition as heritage of forefathers. This articles is an attempt to understand the Tajik cultural system and values. How Tajik identity was reinvented by Tajik government? How, it is deferent from the other competing identities in the region. How Soviet Union has made deference in the cultural life of Tajiks.
